Author Guideline

General Author Guidelines

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal submission system at:
https://journal.novantara.org/index.php/bizgrowth/about/submissions

BizGrowth: Journal of Business and Economic Development, published by Novantara Cendekia, accepts original research articles in the fields of business, management, and economics, with particular emphasis on business growth, economic development, innovation, and sustainability.

Submitted manuscripts must meet the following requirements:

  1. The manuscript must be written in English or Indonesian.

  2. The manuscript must be original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  3. The manuscript should include the following information:

    • Title of the article

    • Full name(s) of the author(s)

    • Author affiliation(s)

    • Corresponding author email address

    • Abstract

    • Keywords

  4. Manuscripts must follow the journal template and structure required by the journal.

Manuscript Structure

1. Title

The title should clearly reflect the content of the article and be concise and informative.

2. Abstract

The abstract should briefly describe the purpose of the research, methodology, main findings, and conclusion.

Requirements for the abstract:

  • Written in one paragraph

  • Maximum 200 words

  • Written in English

  • Followed by 3–5 keywords

3. Introduction

The Introduction should include:

  • research background

  • research problems

  • brief review of relevant previous studies

  • research gap

  • research objectives

This section should be written as a continuous narrative without subheadings.

4. Method

The Method section explains how the research was conducted and should include:

  • research design

  • population and sample

  • data sources

  • data collection techniques

  • data analysis methods

The method section should be written clearly in paragraph form.

5. Results and Discussion

The Results and Discussion section presents research findings and provides interpretation and analysis.

Authors should present original research data obtained through various techniques such as:

  • interviews

  • observations

  • questionnaires

  • surveys

  • documentation

  • or other relevant data collection techniques.

Tables, figures, graphs, and diagrams may be included to support the presentation of results.

The discussion should explain the meaning of the findings and relate them to relevant theories and previous research.

6. Conclusion

The Conclusion summarizes the main findings of the study and highlights their implications.

The conclusion should be:

  • concise

  • written in narrative form

  • avoiding bullet points or numbering.

7. Acknowledgement

The Acknowledgement section may be included after the conclusion to recognize individuals, institutions, or funding agencies that supported the research.

8. References

All references must follow the APA Style 7th Edition.

Reference requirements:

  • Minimum 20 references

  • At least 80% of references must be from scholarly sources published within the last 10 years

  • Authors are strongly encouraged to cite recent international journal articles

Authors should use reference management tools such as:

  • Mendeley

  • Zotero

to ensure citation consistency.

Manuscript Preparation

Authors must prepare their manuscripts using the journal template provided by the journal.

Manuscripts that do not follow the journal guidelines and formatting requirements may be returned to the authors for revision before entering the peer-review process.
