Internalizing the Philosophical Values of Hajj Through Integrated Manasik Training for SPM Al-Mashduqiah Students
Abstract
This study investigates the initial understanding, implementation, and impacts of integrated manasik training in internalizing the philosophical values of Hajj among students of SPM Al-Mashduqiah. A qualitative literature review was employed by analyzing scholarly articles, books, and relevant research on Islamic education, experiential learning, and value internalization through systematic synthesis and interpretation.
Findings reveal that students’ initial understanding of Hajj is largely procedural, focusing on ritual performance rather than philosophical meanings such as tawhid, equality, patience, and sacrifice. Integrated manasik training—through simulation, reflection, and habituation—enhances both understanding and internalization of these values, leading to improved spiritual awareness and moral development.
The study concludes that integrated manasik training is an effective approach in bridging knowledge, values, and behavior within Islamic education, and contributes both theoretically and practically to value-based learning models.
