Inner Development in Islamic Educational Management: Strengthening Self-Leadership, Organizational Culture, and Sustainable Educational Transformation
Keywords:
Inner Development, Islamic Educational Management, Self-LeadershipAbstract
This study explores the role of Inner Development in Islamic Educational Management in strengthening self-leadership, fostering Islamic values-based organizational culture, and supporting sustainable educational transformation. Although leadership and organizational development have been widely discussed, few studies integrate Inner Development with Islamic Educational Management within a unified theoretical framework. This study addresses this gap by proposing an integrative conceptual model linking individual transformation, organizational culture, and sustainable educational transformation. Using a qualitative literature review approach, data were collected from peer-reviewed journal articles, academic books, conference proceedings, and research reports. The literature was analyzed through thematic categorization, conceptual synthesis, and theoretical interpretation. The findings indicate that Inner Development, encompassing self-awareness, reflective thinking, emotional regulation, ethical consciousness, and spiritual maturity, provides the foundation for effective self-leadership. It also facilitates the internalization of Islamic values, including amanah, ihsan, muhasabah, and tazkiyatun nafs, strengthening organizational culture while enhancing leadership capacity, adaptability, resilience, and organizational learning. The proposed framework advances Islamic Educational Management theory by emphasizing reflective, ethical, and spiritual development as key drivers of sustainable educational transformation.
