Plagiarism Policy

EDUNOVATION: Journal of Education and Innovation is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. All manuscripts submitted to the journal will be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin or other reliable similarity detection tools.

Similarity Check

Before entering the peer-review process, each submitted manuscript will undergo a similarity screening. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%, excluding references, quotations, and commonly used methodological phrases. Manuscripts that exceed this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected at the editorial stage.

Types of Plagiarism

The journal recognizes several forms of plagiarism, including but not limited to:

  • Direct plagiarism – Copying text from another source without proper citation or quotation.

  • Self-plagiarism – Reusing significant portions of one’s own previously published work without proper citation.

  • Mosaic plagiarism – Borrowing phrases or ideas from various sources without appropriate attribution.

  • Data fabrication or falsification – Manipulating research data or results.

Editorial Actions

If plagiarism is detected during the editorial review or peer-review process, the editorial team will take appropriate actions depending on the severity of the case:

  • Minor similarity issues: Authors may be asked to revise and properly cite the sources.

  • Moderate plagiarism: The manuscript may be rejected and returned to the authors with an explanation.

  • Severe plagiarism: The manuscript will be rejected immediately, and the authors’ institution may be notified if necessary.

If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal may issue a correction, expression of concern, or retraction of the article in accordance with ethical guidelines from the Committee on Publication Ethics.

Author Responsibility

Authors are strongly encouraged to check the originality of their manuscripts using plagiarism detection software before submission. By submitting their manuscript to EDUNOVATION: Journal of Education and Innovation, authors confirm that the work is original and has not been plagiarized from any source.
