Publication Ethic

EDUNOVATION: Journal of Education and Innovation is an international peer-reviewed journal committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, the editorial board, and the publisher Novantara Cendekia.

The journal follows the ethical standards and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics to ensure transparency, academic integrity, and responsible scholarly publishing.

Publication Decisions

The Editor-in-Chief of EDUNOVATION: Journal of Education and Innovation is responsible for deciding which manuscripts submitted to the journal should be published. Editorial decisions are based on the manuscript’s originality, academic merit, methodological rigor, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Editors may consult with members of the editorial board and peer reviewers when making publication decisions. All decisions must comply with applicable legal requirements concerning plagiarism, copyright infringement, and defamation.

Fairness and Editorial Independence

Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on the basis of their academic content and intellectual merit without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy. Editorial decisions are made independently and are not influenced by commercial or institutional interests.

Confidentiality

Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts. Information about a manuscript should not be disclosed to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial advisers, and the publisher as necessary during the editorial process.

Conflicts of Interest

Unpublished materials disclosed in submitted manuscripts must not be used in an editor’s or reviewer’s own research without the explicit written consent of the author. All parties involved in the publication process must disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect the evaluation of a manuscript.

Duties of Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions

Peer review assists editors in making editorial decisions and provides authors with constructive feedback to improve the quality of their manuscripts.

Confidentiality

Reviewers must treat all manuscripts received for review as confidential documents and must not share or discuss them with others without authorization from the editor.

Objectivity

Reviews should be conducted objectively and supported by clear arguments. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.

Acknowledgement of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant scholarly works that have not been cited by the authors and inform the editor of any substantial similarity between the manuscript under review and other published works.

Conflict of Interest

Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or institutional relationships with the authors.

Duties of Authors

Reporting Standards

Authors should present an accurate and objective account of the research conducted. Sufficient detail and references should be provided to allow other researchers to replicate the study.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. Any use of the work or ideas of others must be properly cited.

Multiple or Redundant Publication

Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously or publish the same research in multiple journals.

Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. All co-authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.

Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that may influence the results or interpretation of their research.

Correction of Errors

If an author discovers a significant error in a published article, the author must promptly notify the editor and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article.

Handling Allegations of Research Misconduct

EDUNOVATION: Journal of Education and Innovation does not tolerate research misconduct, including data fabrication, falsification, citation manipulation, or plagiarism. Allegations of misconduct will be handled according to the guidelines of COPE.

If misconduct is confirmed, the journal may take appropriate actions, including manuscript rejection, publication of corrections, or retraction of the article to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections

The journal welcomes scholarly discussions and corrections regarding published articles. Readers may submit comments or corrections to the Editor-in-Chief via email. If accepted, the discussion may be published in a subsequent issue as a Letter to the Editor, and the original authors will be given the opportunity to respond.
